Can Maptia build the most inspirational map in the world?

This is a Hipmunk post from Jodi Ettenberg of Legal Nomads

I love maps. I’ve loved maps for as long as I can remember, especially those sprawling medieval hand-drawn versions, curled writing on yellow paper, a reflection of what could and could not be. Not only are maps beautiful, but they remain an inspiration and useful one at that.

Last week in Colorado I had a chance to meet up with Jonny and Dorothy from Maptia, two young entrepreneurs with a desire to build "the most inspirational map in the world." It was a pleasure to meet them but also to hear their ideas and enthusiasm firsthand; this is not just about building a business but also to see their incredible love for artistry, typography and maps combined.

I’m looking forward to following along but also wanted to share two posters they built, one from a quote I gave them (when asked "at best, what do maps represent to you") and the second from an old friend Tony, who was inspired enough to submit his own.
You can find Maptia on their blog, on Pinterest (many ukulele photos there too) or on Twitter.  Hope you enjoy as much as I did!
