Hipmunk Haiku, the latest from our Awesome Fans Department

Hipmunkhaikus Since launching last August, we’ve been astounded by all the fabulous fan art we’ve received. It’s not enough for hipmunks to enjoy their travel search for the first time, so many of them are so happy they’re sending us digital awesomeness. In fact, we’ve got a recent collection of haiku (and even a sonnet!) we thought we ought to share with you.

Thanks to all who of you who sent something in!

Hipmunk, the only,
To take the suckage out of
Flying to New York.

— Craig Rodrigues (@CraigRodrigues)

Need rest from conference
Painless quick flight from the ‘munk
Beautiful beaches

A Monk

He wants to fly, so
meditates of a munk, a
very hip one too.

Hipmunk is awesome!
I would love to work there, but
No support roles free.

Shall I compare Hipmunk to a summer’s day?
Hipmunk art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is Hipmunk’s gold complexion dimm’d;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature’s changing course untrimm’d;
But Hipmunk eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair Hipmunk owest;
Nor shall Death brag Hipmunk wander’st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time Hipmunk growest:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this and this gives life to Hipmunk.

— Terence Chu (@terepod)

Already like creating art about small rodents who love to travel? You’re halfway there! Throw some aviator goggles and a scarf on it and send it in. We love seeing what you all come up with. And it gives us stuff to put on our walls at the office.
