This is a Hipmunk post from Jodi Ettenberg of Legal Nomads
I recently posted a gallery of photos from the air on The Hipmunk, taken during sunrise and sunset, with some great contributions from above the Levant. Seen from above, the Earth is a wondrous thing.
On a trip to Newfoundland in August, I saw the reverse: the earth IN the sky, in the form of a cloud.

Driving along the Trans-Canadian highway, we all had to stop and stare.
For comparison purposes:

For those who (like me) enjoy a good wistful staring into the sky, take a look at this incredible gallery of cloud photos, by German photographer Rüdiger Nehmzow. And if you’re looking for more on clouds and how they form, the National Weather Servicehas a resource page on classification and characteristics, filled with diagrams and photos.
We’ve enabled photo replies: if any Hipmunks have their own cloud stories to tell – we’d love to see them!
