Sometimes sunsets don’t need a beautiful ocean or a mountain to be beautiful.

Tea in San Francisco

I love pu’erh tea, and try to find a tea house that serves it in the cities I visit. In New York, I usually go to Cha An, which has the added bonus of their fantastic black sesame creme brulee. In San Fran, I visited Samovar Tea house and tried a series of pu’erh and other teas. With small plates of food, tapas style, tea-drinking has never been so delicious.

Golden Gate Pre and Post Fog

Jodi Ettenberg Legal nomads

This is a Hipmunk post from Jodi Ettenberg of Legal Nomads.

San Francisco is known for its fog (it even has a name, Karl, and a Twitter handle). It’s no surprise, then, that part of the fun in visiting the city is in comparing the landmarks before and after the mists drift in.

Here is the Golden Gate bridge on a sunny day, and then on a foggy day. The fog changes the feel of the city entirely, adding what to me seems like a spooky ambiance to what was previously a normal street. It’s like getting two cities in just one visit!
